VIDEO | Know what are the signs that a person presents that may suffer from myocardial infarction

At Caretas Digital we were with the EsSalud cardiologist, Luisa Talledo, who gave us details of the symptoms that people who are prone to suffering from a myocardial infarction have. Likewise, it explains that people who have suffered from Covid-19 must be alert to the signs they present because they are the “most at risk of a heart attack.” And if they present a comorbidity, the risk is greater.

“If one begins to feel pain in the center of the chest or on the left side, such as oppression or compression, and the pain lasts for more than five to ten minutes after exertion, it is already an indication that the person is at risk of suffering a heart attack at any time ”, details the cardiologist.

However, it also points out that there are asymptomatic people who do not have any signs but are prone to having a heart attack. “They may not have chest pains but if they constantly feel fatigue, shortness of breath when walking or with feelings of dizziness, then the person has to go to the doctor for the respective checkups.”

The specialist tells us that there are even people who are engaged in sports, eat well, take care of their health, “and from one moment to another they can suffer from a heart attack and it is because many times we do not pay attention to the signals that the body”.
