Woman pleads with Bristol stabbing victim to ‘stay with us’ | UK news Pi News

A woman has described seeing one of the victims of a stabbing in Bristol “falling flat on her face” after the attack.

Two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, died in hospital after being stabbed in the Knowle West area around 11.20pm on Saturday.

According to local reports, the victims are Max Dixon, 16, and Mason Rist, 15.

One witness told Sky News how he ran into the street to help one of the injured children after returning home from celebrating his son’s birthday.

He said: “I heard a noise from outside the house and I saw one car parked at the top of the road and another in the middle of the road.

“A boy got into the car and closed the door, and then I saw one of the boys walking across the road and falling on his face.

A major police investigation is underway in South Bristol after two teenagers were killed in violence in Knowle West.  Ilminster Avenue in Knowle West was cordoned off by a large police presence following reports of violence on Saturday night.  Bristol Live understands two people were attacked and seriously assaulted.  Forensic teams are at the scene and the road is closed between Newquay Road and Connaught Road.  The road is on a major bus route through Knowles West, so buses had to be diverted.  Residents of Ilminster Avenue awoke to find a large police presence and their homes cordoned off, with officers conducting door-to-door enquiries.

“I ran to her to comfort her because I didn’t want her to be alone.

A woman who says she knows the teenager described him as a “good kid” and “not a troublemaker.”

A vigil was held near the site of the attack on Sunday night. Many people gathered to light candles and lay flowers for the victims.

A 44-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were arrested on Sunday and police launched a murder investigation as they search for more suspects.

It is not yet known whether the attackers and the victims knew each other.

Police arrived on the scene within minutes and administered first aid, but despite their best efforts, the boys were taken to two separate hospitals, where they died on Sunday morning.

None of the victims have yet been officially identified.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident, including passengers on the bus who passed by, to contact them.

A GoFundMe page to raise money for the boys’ funerals was set up by Max’s aunt, Christine Fothergill.
