Paul attempted all 14 of his field goals and made four free throws, and Devin Booker came back from hamstring injury and scored five of his 13 points in the final two minutes.

Dendre Eaton scored 22 points, Michael Bridges added 18 points and Cameron Johnson added 13 points for the top seed Sons, who will next face fourth seed Dallas Mavericks.

Brendon Ingram had 21 points and 11 assists, and Herbert Jones and CJ McCullum scored 16, 16 for the Pelicans.

Mavericks 98, Jazz 96

Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson scored 24 points as Dallas beat Utah in Salt Lake City to complete their first round of the Western Conference series in six games.

Spencer Denvedy added 19 points for Mavericks. Doreen Fanny Smith scored 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
