Pakistani wrestler Inam Butt won a bronze medal in World Beach Wrestling Championship held in Turkey, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
In a celebratory tweet, Inam Butt thanked Almighty as he won a bronze medal for Pakistan.
Inam Butt qualified for the semi-final after winning the quarter-final match by defeating Turkish wrestler Abdullah with 2-0 score. Inam lost the semi-final match against an Azerbaijan wrestler but stood at third position.
The Gujranwala-born wrestler also thanked Pakistan Sports Board, Pakistan Wrestling Federation and PM Youth Affairs Program and his sponsors for making his dream come true.

The championship was held in Turkey on 28 and 29 May. The group stage matches and the quarter-finals took place on 28 May while the semi-finals and final round were held on 29 May.

Pertinent to note that Inam Butt had previously won the title in 2021 when he brought home a gold medal from the World Beach Wrestling Championship in Italy.
