6.3 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 was recorded in the eastern region of Taiwan.

According to the news agency, strong earthquakes were recorded in the eastern county of Hualien in Taiwan.

The Taiwan Meteorological Bureau said the earthquake was at a depth of 5.5 km.

Buildings in the capital, Taipei, were shaken by the earthquake, but there were no immediate reports of damage.
