This case is related to Kaptanganj police station in Basti district. Here, Abdul Ghaffar Khan, a resident of Gobhyapar village, went on a buffalo to the district collectorate to file his nomination papers, but meanwhile his recommender who signed the nomination papers disappeared. Khan Sahib’s dream of contesting elections was not fulfilled by leaving with his colleagues.

In particular, 10 recommenders are required to submit nomination papers as an independent candidate. Khan Sahib, accompanied by his recommenders, mounted a buffalo and went to the District Collector’s office. But before he got there, some of his recommenders disappeared along the way, and some left him alone after arriving at the nominating office.
