Kabul: An explosion occurred on a motorcycle parked on the roadside in the city of Faizabad, Afghanistan, as a convoy of Taliban military vehicles passed by.
According to the World News Agency, the motorcycle was loaded with explosive material that was detonated by remote control. The explosion was so strong that the Taliban military vehicle was completely destroyed.
No militant group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but Daesh Khorasan has been involved in attacks on military convoys, imambargas and government offices since the Taliban took power in 2021.
After the explosion, human organs are scattered all over the scene. 3 officials died on the spot and more than 10 are injured. The dead and injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
Where 3 more injured died during treatment, taking the total death toll to 6. The condition of 2 injured is said to be critical. The Taliban surrounded the area and began a search operation.
