Faisal Karim Kundi, leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, was sworn in as the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The swearing in ceremony was held at Governor House Peshawar, Chief Justice Peshawar High Court administered the oath to Faisal Karim Kundi, the occasion was attended by the leaders of the People’s Party.

After taking oath as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Faisal Karim Kundi said that he is thankful to PPP leadership, he came to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as jayal governor after a long time.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor further said that we do not want a confrontation between the federation and the province. I will try to play the role of a bridge between the province and the federation. Currently, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is facing a financial crisis.
While inviting the political parties of the province to the meeting, he said that I wish everyone to work together for the development of the province, at the same time I am asking the provincial government to come and solve the problems through dialogue. It is impossible to hold on to the neck and continue the fight.
Faisal Karim Kundi further said that the reason why the chief minister did not come for the swearing-in ceremony could be his busy schedule. We will try to solve the province’s problems through negotiations.
