Iran May Face Sanctions Over Trade Deals, US

Washington: The US State Department has said it may face sanctions over trade deals with Iran.

According to a foreign news agency, the United States advised to be aware of the possible threat of trade sanctions. A spokesman for the US State Department said that it is not reviewing possible sanctions.

The spokesperson said that America is one of Pakistan’s biggest export markets.

Last month, US spokesman Matthew Miller warned that trade with Iran could expose Pakistan to US sanctions.

He said Pakistan was saddened by the loss of lives and no country should fall victim to acts of terrorism. He advises Pakistan to refrain from any deal with Iran, while America is not in favor of the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project.
