Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has given the task of completing the first phase of the construction of the jail in Sector H of Islamabad in 6 months. Mohsin Naqvi has given the task to complete the jail construction project in 6 months.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the under-construction jail in Sector H Islamabad and inspected the under-construction jail.

Mohsin Naqvi has given the task to complete the first phase of the jail construction in 6 months and directed the Chief Commissioner Islamabad and IG Islamabad Police to regularly inspect the progress of the construction activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that it is clearly incompetent to keep the project suspended for 7 years, the construction of the jail should be completed on schedule with day and night work and the process of appointing the necessary staff should also be done. started immediately, the provision of resources to complete the project will be ensured.

During the visit, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also gave instructions to the relevant authorities regarding the completion of the project under construction.

Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa said in a project briefing that Islamabad Jail construction project started in 2017, even after many years the project could not be completed.

The briefing said that the prison will have a capacity of 2,000 prisoners, the capacity to hold another 2,000 prisoners will be increased.

It is to be noted that Federal Secretary Interior Khurram Agha, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, IG Police Islamabad, contractors, consultants and related officials were also present on the occasion.
