Moon not sighted in Pakistan, 1st Dhul-Qaida will be on 10th May

Web Desk: According to Chairman of Central Viewing Hilal Committee, the month of Zul-Qa’d 1445 Hijri was not sighted in Pakistan today, the 1st month of Zul-Qa’d will be on Friday, May 10.
The notification was issued by the ministry after the notification of the Royat Hilal Committee.
On the other hand, Egypt’s National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research has predicted that the Dhul Hijjah moon will rise on Thursday, June 6 at 2:39 a.m. Cairo time.
A report issued by the institute explained that the first day of Eid al-Adha 2024 in Egypt will be on Sunday, June 16, 2024, while Waqf Arafa will be on June 15, meaning the month of Dhul-Hajj will begin on Friday, June 7, 2024.
According to the National Research Institute, a final decision will be made only after Saudi Arabia decides on the date of the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Regarding the sighting of the moon in the month of Dhul Hajj 1445 AH, the agency explained that the new moon will remain in the sky in Makkah for 11 minutes and in Cairo for 18 minutes after sunset.
In other areas of Egypt, the new crescent will be visible for between 12 and 20 minutes.
