Pakistan West Indies Women’s ODI series starts today

The first ODI between the women’s cricket teams of Pakistan and West Indies will be played in Karachi today.

The preparation for the Pakistan West Indies Women’s series is over, the visiting team gave their best in the last practice before the start of the series, with only 5 national team players training including Alia Riaz, Nida Dar, Natalia Pervez , Sudra and Bisma Maruf.

After the practice, the ODI series trophy was unveiled, the captains of both the teams, Nida Dar and Hayley Mathews, made a video and took a picture with the trophy.

Pakistan captain Nida Dar said in a press conference that the series is very important as it is a part of ICC championship, they will try to win the series which is played at home.

He said that the perception is wrong that Pakistan team batsmen are not hitting sixes, they won with sixes in the previous series.

West Indian team captain Hayley Mathews said that Pakistan has become an experienced team, the series will be good, he prepared hard for the series against Pakistan, Pakistan is a tough opponent at home.

He said that Pakistan team has improved a lot compared to last years, before coming here we also trained in Dubai, the condition of Dubai is similar to that of Pakistan.

It should be noted that after the 3-match ODI series, the 5-match T20 series will also be played in Karachi itself.
