The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has begun considering the early signing of key players ahead of a possible clash between the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Indian Premier League (IPL) next year. These players will receive more money than players in the platinum category.

Pakistan Cricket Board has proposed PSL dates in 2025 from 7th April to 20th May. These dates also include the Indian Premier League, which may present an issue with the availability of key players.

According to sources, the PCB and PSL management will prepare a list of 6 to 12 players who will deal with the issue. The list will be prepared jointly by the PSL management and the franchise and will consist of players who are guaranteed to participate in the PSL.

Sources said that these players will definitely get marquee player status, but they will be selected in the draft and will be selected from the platinum category. However, they will be paid by other platinum players.

According to sources, marquee players can be paid three and a half to four million dollars. Currently, platinum players receive up to $200,000.
