Rain with wind and thunder is expected in various regions of the country from April 16 to 22, with the threat of snowfall in mountainous areas, landslides and flooding in local rivers of Balochistan.
NDMA has issued an alert to the concerned institutions in view of the possible flood situation.
According to NDMA, floods are likely in Kabul River, Swat and Panjkora, Yakagund, Nowshera, Charsadda and Pabi are likely to be affected by the flood situation in Kabul River.
Flooding in Panjkora river is expected to affect Dir, Munda, Shringal and Wari areas.

While Charbagh, Bahrain, Babuzai, Matta and other low-lying areas may be affected by possible floods in the Swat River.
The NDMA says there is a risk of flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in hilly areas due to the rain.
In addition, there is fear of damage to crops, electricity poles and other structures due to rain, wind and hail.
