The past stars of Pakistan cricket are all set to shine again, the Younis Khan-led Pakistan Legends team will take part in the Legends World Cup to be held in England in July.

The Legends World Championship will be held from July 3 to 13 in Birmingham, England.

Apart from Pakistan, hosts England, India, Australia, West Indies and South Africa will also participate in this event at the historic Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

Former captain Younis Khan will lead the Pakistan team. Shahid Afridi will also be part of the squad while other players will be announced later.

Teams at the event will consist of retired or out-of-contract players. According to the organizers, Australian Brett Lee, Englishman Kevin Pietersen, South African Jack Kells and Indians Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh have confirmed their participation.

Team Pakistan Legends’ Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi and Onar Kamil Khan were present at a press conference held in Karachi for the event. All three expressed determination for Pakistan to win the event.

Younis Khan said that ex-cricketers get a chance to reunite with old friends in the league, while Shahid Afridi said that if such leagues continue, the players will always keep themselves fit.
