The water reached residential houses. Low-lying areas were flooded and many roads were washed away.
All educational institutions, shops and offices were closed in the affected areas, bringing business life to a standstill. According to the Balochistan Meteorological Department, more than 100 mm of rainfall has been recorded so far.
The Gwadar Development Authority has started emergency work to restore the city. In the first phase, the process of extracting water from inside the houses is done immediately.
