China has asked the US not to interfere in its internal affairs

US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken met with the Chinese Foreign Minister during his visit to China.

China’s foreign minister says that Sino-US relations have stabilized, but negative factors are emerging, the core interests of Sino-US relations are facing challenges.

He said that China’s legitimate development rights were being unjustifiably suppressed, a conflict with the US would be a harmful situation, and asked the US not to interfere in its internal affairs.

China’s foreign minister said the red lines of China’s sovereignty, security and development interests should not be crossed.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken said that he had extensive and constructive discussions with the Chinese foreign minister, and that it will not replace face-to-face diplomacy.

He said we need to avoid misunderstandings, hopefully the US and China can make progress on military relations and agreements on AI.

On the other hand, in this context, the US State Department said that concern was expressed about China’s support for the Russian defense industrial base, and the importance of maintaining peace in the Taiwan Strait was also discussed.

A US State Department spokesman said the significance of China’s activities in the disputed South China Sea was discussed.

The spokesman said the meeting emphasized avoiding tensions in the Middle East and the Korean Peninsula. The US Secretary of State will meet with President Xi Jinping today.
