In addition, necessary legislation will also be enacted to enable international social media companies to invest in Pakistan.

This bill will also help in the fight against harassment and blackmail of women, dark and deep web crime, removal of profane religious content from social media.

Sources say this will be a major step forward in removing content related to children and minorities and ensuring protection of rights related to cyberspace.

According to sources, the Ministry of Informatics has started the preparation of proposals and policy, which is also being taken up by experts.
