The spokeswoman of the US State Department resigned in protest against US President Joe Biden’s policy towards Gaza.
According to foreign media, Hala Rahrrit, an Arabic language interpreter, was also the deputy director of the Dubai Regional Media Center and joined the US State Department as a political officer in 2006.
According to reports, this is the third resignation of the US State Department related to the Gaza issue.
On social networks, a female spokeswoman wrote about her resignation that she resigned in April 2024 after 18 years of service in violation of the US policy on Gaza.
Hala Rharrit wrote in his message to take diplomacy not weapons and be a force for peace and unity.
It should be noted that since October 7, more than 34,000 Palestinians have been martyred in Israeli attacks.
