In India, voting is underway for 88 Lok Sabha seats in 13 states for the second phase of the general elections.

According to Indian media, many prominent leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Hema Malini are vying for seats in the second phase.

Rahul Gandhi is contesting the elections for the second time from the Wayanad constituency in Kerala, while Bollywood actress Hema Malini is contesting the elections on a BJP ticket in Mathura.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi urged people to come out and vote, saying their vote would decide whether the next government would be made up of a few billionaires or 140 million Indians.

Elections started from April 19 will be completed in 7 phases on June 1, with results announced on June 4.
