Bangladesh heat wave, thousands of schools and madrassas closed

Dhaka: Thousands of schools and madrasas have been closed due to heat wave in Bangladesh.

According to a foreign news agency, the heat wave has wreaked havoc in Bangladesh. Prayer meetings were organized all over the country.

Thousands of students have been dismissed from schools and madrassas due to the extreme heat and heat wave in Bangladesh.

Extensive scientific research has shown that climate change is making heat waves longer, more frequent and more intense.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department says an average maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius was recorded in the capital Dhaka during the past week.
