Chance of heavy rain, wind and hail in Pakistan from April 17 to 22

A powerful westerly system entered Balochistan after the Gulf states were lashed by heavy rains.

The chief meteorologist says that this system has caused heavy rains in the Gulf states, according to him the system is causing heavy rains in Makran coastal areas.

Heavy rains are expected in Baluchistan, lightning may also occur within this system.

The effects of the system will start showing over Karachi and Sindh from today evening, Chief Meteorologist said that this spell will remain over the country for 3 to 4 days.

NDMA says rain, wind and hail is expected in Pakistan from April 17 to 22, during the first period rain and wind is expected in Punjab from April 18 to 19.

Rain and hail is expected in Balochistan from April 17 to 19, Sindh from April 18 to 19, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to receive rain from April 17 to 21. Azad Kashmir and Gilgit are likely to experience rain, wind and hail from April 18 to 22.

According to the spokesman, the second rainy season will begin across the country from April 25 to April 29 and there is a possibility of rain and hail. Khuzdar, Ziarat, Quetta, Pashin, Panjgur and Gwadar rivers are under threat of flooding due to rains, NDMA has issued instructions to all PDMAs and other administrations to be on alert.

Chief Meteorologist says that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Karachi under this rain system, it can be expected all over Sindh tomorrow, there is no possibility of heavy rain in Karachi like in Gulf states.
