The launching ceremony of the first China-developed Hungar-class submarine for Pakistan was held at the Shuangliu base of China’s Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd.

The Pakistani government signed an agreement for the acquisition of 8 Hangur-class submarines during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan.
According to the contract, 4 submarines will be built in China while the other 4 will be built at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Limited in Pakistan.
These submarines will be equipped with sophisticated weapons and sensors that will be able to target targets at long distances.
