A proposal to impose a tax of Rs 2,000 per kilowatt on residential or commercial installers of solar panels has come out.
Sources in the Ministry of Energy say that the Central Power Procurement Agency has sent a summary to the Ministry of Energy in this regard.
According to Jang, sources say that 24 thousand rupees will be collected from the 12 KW solar panel network at the rate of 2 thousand rupees per kilowatt sent to the prime minister.
Record increase in the use of solar panels in the country
Power division officials say a proposal to revise the rates of solar panels installed in the country is also under consideration.
After the summary is approved, they will apply for a reduction in solar panel rates in Nepro.
