Criticizing PM Modi, Priyanka Gandhi said, “If Modi ji understood the importance of Mangalsutra, he would not have said such immoral things.” When a farmer gets a loan, his wife pledges his jewels, when the family’s children get married, women pledge their jewels, when women’s savings were taken away in demonetisation, where was Modi ji? Where was Modi ji when workers were walking on foot, women were taking their deep vows during the lockdown? Hundreds of farmers were martyred in Kisan Tehreek, Modi ji did not think about Mangalsutra of his widows. In Manipur, the young man’s wife was undressed and her mangalsutra was not thought of. Today, women are intimidated to get the vote. Modi ji, you should be ashamed.

It may be mentioned that Priyanka Gandhi campaigned for party candidates in Karnataka, Bengaluru and Chittaurgarh today. During this time, he not only criticized the Modi government at the Centre, but also put Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the dock. In 10 years PM Modi handed over the ownership of the country to his friends but what have you gained in those 10 years? If PM Modi has done a lot in 10 years, why are you asking for votes in the name of religion?”

Meanwhile, the Congress General Secretary expressed great displeasure over PM Modi’s joint statement. Attacking Prime Minister Modi, he said, “The greatest leaders of the country have abandoned morality, they are playing drama in front of people and are not following the path of truth.” He also claimed that efforts were being made to weaken the opposition by suppressing its voice, freezing its bank accounts and imprisoning two chief ministers.
