Pakistan beat New Zealand by 9 runs in the last T20I

Lahore (Monitoring Desk) Pakistan beat New Zealand by 9 runs, in the final T20 match of the series being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, New Zealand captain Michael Bracewell won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. He scored 178 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs, in response, New Zealand were bowled out for 169 runs in 19.2 overs as Pakistan started the innings, Saeem Ayub suffered a fifth consecutive innings failure and after scoring only one run, became William O’Rourke’s wicket is gone.

Captain Babar Azam and Usman Khan took over the team on the occasion and put on a partnership of 73 runs for the second wicket.

With a total score of 81, Ash Sodhi gave his team their second win and dismissed Usman Khan who scored 31 runs.

Babar continued to play well and scored a half-century along with Fakhar Zaman to take the score to 123, but the national team captain, who scored 69 off 44 balls at the same score, was bowled out.

Fakhar Zaman showed some aggressive batting and played a key role in getting Pakistan’s score to a reasonable level with 43 runs off 33 balls.

The national team scored 178 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted overs.

Zachary Foulkes, William O’Rourke, Ben Sears, Ash Sodhi and James Neesham took one wicket each for New Zealand.

Earlier for the match, Pakistan made a change in the lineup replacing Zaman Khan with Shaheen Shah Afridi in the final XI.

New Zealand also made three changes for the match, including Tim Seifert, Colin McConchie and Zachary Foulkes.

It should be remembered that New Zealand has an insurmountable 1-2 lead in the 5-match series.

The Pakistan squad for the match consists of these players.
