ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took note of farmers’ grievances before leaving for Saudi Arabia and ordered immediate purchase of wheat.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took strict note of farmers’ grievances and ordered immediate action. The prime minister raised the federal government’s target to procure wheat from 1.4 million metric tons to 1.8 million metric tons.

The Prime Minister also issued orders to Pasco to increase the wheat procurement target and ensure immediate procurement.

The Prime Minister directed PASCO to prioritize transparency and convenience for farmers in purchasing wheat.
