The Sindh government has declared a holiday on Wednesday

KARACHI: The Sindh government has declared a public holiday on May 1 as Labor Day.

Chief Secretary Sindh has also released the public holiday notification issued by the provincial government.

May 1 was included in the circular of the Cabinet Department as a public holiday. All schools, private and government offices across the country will remain closed on the day, while the State Bank of Pakistan is also expected to declare a public holiday on May 1.

It should be recalled that the federal government did not officially declare a holiday on May 1 this year.

It should be remembered that International Labor Day is celebrated all over the world on May 1. This day is a day to recognize the contribution of workers and defend their rights.
