Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal has started campaigning for the Aam Aadmi Party from today.

New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, who is lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, will begin her Lok Sabha election campaign from today. Sunita Kejriwal will hold a mega road show today in support of Aam Aadmi Party candidate from East Delhi Kuldeep Kumar. Delhi Minister Atashi said, “Against Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, his wife Sunita Kejriwal will campaign to seek his blessings and seek votes for AAP candidates.” It will appeal to the people of Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat and Haryana.

AAP sources say Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal is gradually playing a bigger role in the party to advance AAP’s campaign. Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that Sunita Kejriwal is the best person to keep the party united in the current situation. He said his presence had a positive effect on party workers. Sunita Kejriwal also attended India Block mega rallies in Delhi and Ranchi last month, where the opposition camp criticized the BJP for allegedly misusing central agencies to harass opposition-ruled states.

Since Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, Sunita Kejriwal has addressed the media three times. During this time he worked to convey the message of CM Kejriwal to the people. Sunita Kejriwal is a former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer who served in the Income Tax Department for 22 years. He met Arvind Kejriwal during a training program in Bhopal. He belongs to 1994 batch while Arvind Kejriwal is an officer of 1995 batch.
